Brand Name Perfume.

If you have ever bought knock-off perfume, you know nothing smells as nice as the real thing.  Brand name perfume is of better quality, and the scent will stay true for a longer period of time.  The problem with brand name perfume, however, is that it can be expensive.  Some kinds are so expensive that only the very rich can afford them.  If you have a favorite scent that is expensive, you may have no choice but to buy the knock-off version. 

These may work for you.  If you enjoy the scent and it lasts, then you may be happy.  For others though, they notice the imitation perfumes don’t smell quite right, and they find that they have to reapply often.  At times, these can have a harsh smell when first applied, and can cause a headache.  Brand name perfume shouldn’t do any of these things, and perhaps that is what you are paying for when you buy the real thing.

A brand name perfume sometimes takes years to create.  There are people who specialize in making perfumes, and they may experiment for a long time before they come across a great combination.  This is part of the reason why brand name perfume costs more to the consumer.  The real thing will also have more quality ingredients and will be made with more care.  When someone produces a knock-off, they want to get the scent close, but then hurry to get it on the market.  This means lower quality ingredients and a scent that is not totally true to the brand name variety.

You can find brand name perfume in the usual spots.  Many department stores carry the high-end perfumes, and a lot of times they have specials to get you to come in and buy from them.  This may mean a discount, a free make up selection, or a make up bag as a bonus.  They do this so you buy the real thing, and skip the imitations that flood the market once a brand becomes popular.

You may also find brand name perfume online.  The problem with this is you don’t know for sure what you are getting.  You may be sold a knock-off and you would never know it.  Do some research before you buy, and make sure the company you are buying from has a solid reputation.  Auction sites like eBay will also offer these perfumes, but just as with any other site, make sure you are getting the real thing.

Perfume and cologne 

 You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get the finest perfume and cologne on the market. All that is required is a lot of patience and a ton of online shopping. You can find fantastic deals on perfume and cologne through discount online stores but they don’t necessarily pop up right away.

You want to make sure that you include the word “discount” or “wholesale” in your search. I tried looking for perfume and cologne at reduced prices and I chose the word “cheap” in my search. Evidently, the vendors had no concept of what that term means because there was nothing cheap in the selection.

I am always disappointed when I think that I may find a great deal on perfume and cologne only to find prices that are right up with the mall stores. Add in the shipping costs and you have less than no deal. Shipping costs can also ruin a great deal as well.

You might find perfume and cologne at very cheap prices online but you may get sticker shock when you see the cost for shipping the items. This may come as a surprise to some because these items do come in relatively small packaging. Make sure that you get a deal on the shipping as well.

You also want to make sure that you discriminate between perfume and cologne. The two are quite similar but they are definitely not the same. Perfume is a concentrated scent. Cologne is a softer, milder fragrance that is used in a layer of your scent. Yes. You want to layer your fragrances much as you would items of clothing.

The first layer of fragrance would be your bath gels and oils. These should be the same fragrance as your perfume and cologne. After bathing you want to add another layer of fragrance with your body lotion. Again, you should match the scents or skip the layer completely. Using scent-free lotion is better if you are planning to add other fragrances.

Next you want to add a layer of cologne. You really don’t need very much. Too much will be unpleasant and overwhelming. The perfume is the final touch and you really want to use a few small drops. Your perfume and cologne should not enter the room before you do.

Keeping your fragrance close will help you from overwhelming everyone with scent. You really want to save your perfume and cologne for those closest to you.
